She was predeceased by: her sons, John and George; her grandson Alexander; and her siblings, Lewis and Gloria.
She is survived by: her spouse Jack 'Jackie' Smith; her sister Edith Humber (Clarence); and her children, Diane Van (Tony) of Sande, Marilyn McDougall (Tony), Jacqueline Ruigrok (Charles), David Walker and Paula Walker (Gerry). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or to a local animal charity of your choosing.
