He was predeceased by: his mother Christina Rennie (DeCoste); his former wife Jean (Pettipas); his granddaughters, Savannah and Abigail; and his sister-in-law Diane Rennie.

He is survived by: his father Clement Rennie; his wife Mae (Carroll); his children, Lisa Grant (Jim) of Antigonish, Michelle Benson (Clifford) of St. Andrews, Bobby (Muriel) of Fort McMurray, Andre of Fort McMurray and Jason (Jennifer) of Halifax; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Courtney, Alexandria, Madison, Jenna, Josh, Cole and Quinn; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Ellie-Mae and Juliette; and his siblings, John Leo (Pomquet) and Dorothy Molley (Norman).
