He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Lafford and Margaret Lafford (Stevens); and his siblings, Earl Lafford, Levi Lafford, Patrick Lafford, Linda Lafford, Helen Lafford and Annie Lafford.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Catherine; his children, Lynn (Wilfred) of Paqtnkek, Valerie of Paqtnkek, Brenda (Brendan) of Paqtnkek and Benedict (Savannah) of Paqtnkek; his grandchildren, Lauren, Nicole, Scott, Nolan, Ty and Peter Keagan; his siblings, John Lafford, Mary Ann Sark (Harold) of Maine, Judy Lafford-Jones (Ken) of Maine, Joan Lafford of Maine and Sandra Landry of Maine; and his godchildren, Donna Johnson, Doris Googoo (Tic) and Alex Paulette Jr.. He is also survived by his in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 4:00 PM at 92 Saqamaw Rd, Afton Station, NS B0H1A0. A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church.
