He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Laurent and Fernande Lafreniere (Auclair); and his sisters, Louise Lafreniere, Francine Lafreniere and Denyse Lafreniere.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie (MacLeod); his siblings, Pierre Paul Lafreniere (Ottawa) and Suzanne Smith (Roy); his sister-in-law Diane Theuerkauf; his nieces and nephews, Marie Josie Comeau, Rachelle Comeau (Marc Girouard), Chantal Comeau (Chris Hopps), Amber Smith, Bethany Theuerkauf, Samson (Chris), Breanna Gordon (Jason), Alberta, Robin Smith of Vancouver, BC, Ben Theuerkauf (Alice) and Dan Theuerkauf; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carolyn, Manon Girouard, Gracie, Abby Gordon, Alberta, Samuel, Benjamin Samson, Noah, Gabriel Gordon, Grande Prairie, Leo and Oliver Theuerkauf.
