It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Lawrence MacGillivray (Antigonish, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 15, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent MacGillivray and Mary MacGillivray (MacLean) of Glen Road; and his sisters, Charlotte Malcolm, Catherine MacNeil, Sr. and Rosemary MacGillivray.
He is survived by: his wife Laura (MacLean); his children, Laurinda Matheson (Trueman), Janice Watson, Maryvale, Shannon MacGillivray of Calgary, AB, Tanya MacGillivray and Allan MacGillivray; his grandchildren, Cairistiona, Eilidh, Mairead, Catriona Matheson, Leif and Doven Watson; and his sisters, Elizabeth VanVlaenderen, Mary Margaret Arsenault (Philip), Florence MacGillivray Delaney, Marie MacGillivray and Vency Jean. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Covid-19 Protocols will be in place at visitation and funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer or Parkinson Society.
