It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Margaret Aubrecht of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 28, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Joseph and Jeanette McAlister (O'Quinn); her son Karl (Catherine); and her siblings, Cyril, Raymond, Gus, Mary, Jennie and Peter.

She is survived by: her spouse Yarmil; her daughter Theresa; her grandson Shannon; her children, Madonna Maher (Bill), John (Mary-Jane), Grace Holobo (Mike), Mary Ballard (Mark), Peter (Cheri), Vianney (Sharon) and Paul (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Hugh, Keri, Fraser, Katie, Alexandra, Christina, Kacey, Rory, Tyler, Olivia, John-Vianney, Patti, Jenny, Jamie, Sarah, Vivika, Jake, Nicole, Emily, Christian, Mary-Tess, Liam and Connor. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
