He was predeceased by: his parents, Harris Royston and Amybelle Patricia Amit (Ambuldeniya); and his sister Iromi. He is survived by: his children, Harrison Rene Amit Toronto (Muna) and Dominique Amit; his sister Minoli Antigonish (John Hamilton); his brother-in-law Peter Tufts Halifax (late Iromi); his sister Udeni Halifax (Andrew Roger); and his brothers-in-law, Denis Boudreau, Pierre Boudreau and Bathurst. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews, two grand-nieces and a grand-nephew, and by several cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 1st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the H. C. MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel (18 Acadia Ave, Stellarton, NS B0K0A2). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church (112 N Foord St, New Glasgow, NS B2H5G7).
