He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Schmidt and Otto Schmidt; and his sisters, Inge Schmidt and Gertrude Mayer. He is survived by: his daughters, Karina LeBlanc (François) and Sandra Schmidt (James Marjeram); his grandchildren, Jordan Zachary (Morgan Bews), Sébastien, Luke, Cate and Maëlle; his sister Lilo Judmayr (Hubert); and his wife Frances. He is also survived by siblings-in-law and cherished nieces and nephews.
