It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Helena James of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away, on September 9, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert and Berthania Symes (Harris); and her siblings, Olive Prosser (Sam), Peter John Symes (Eva), Lawrence Simms, Harvey Symes and Ernest Symes (Lena).
She is survived by: her husband Stanley Robert "Bob" James; her children, Elaine MacEachern (Greg), John James (Terrilee) and Olive Rose (Les); her grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Rebecca, Meaghan, Kendra, Brianna, Candace and Lesley; and her sisters-in-law, May Janes and Carrie Stevens. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Anglican Church (96 Church St, Antigonish, NS B2G2E1). A burial was held on Saturday, September 14th 2024 at the St. James and St. Paul Cemetery.
