Gordon Alfred Barker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Alfred Barker of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Barker and Iris Marie Manche (Wendy); and his brothers, Ian and Allen Barker. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Laura Gould of Amherst; his sons, Gordon (Cheryl Ritz) and Sean (Christine Martell); his grandchildren, Kyla (Nathan Mark), Kourtney, Tyler (Melissa MacDonald), Ethan, Cameron, Toni, Nate, Sophie and Harvest; his great grandchild Olivia; his stepchildren, Tanya (Kevin Reardon), Stephen (Kara Saville), Shaun (Kathy MacDonald) and Kyle (Sylvia Rodrigeus); and his stepgrandchildren, Hannah, Olivia, Linden, Astrid, George and Adi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the C. L. Curry Funeral Home (135 College St, Antigonish, NS B2G1X9). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ninian Cathedral (121 St Ninian St, Antigonish, NS B2G2L8). A burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at the St. Ninian Cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to Music Therapy (Palliative Care) at St. Martha's Hospital or the VON.
