She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander "Stuffy" and Muriel MacDonald (Brocklehurst); her husband Eugene; her brother Howard MacDonald; and her niece Jennifer MacDonald.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Silver, Lakevale, Mike Silver, MD, Radiology (Heather Murray), Antigonish and Gena Silver; her grandchildren, Sydney, Ben, Sam, Anna Bae, Alexandra and Sammy; and her siblings, Roderick MacDonald (Ann Marie), Martin MacDonald (Penny), Owen MacDonald (Greta), Mona Cillis (Mike) and Flora Anne.
