He was predeceased by: his parents, George White and Lillian White (Smith); his wife Bernie; and his siblings, Edgar, Bill, Bob, Dorothy, Mid and Nel.
He is survived by: his children, George (Diane), Linda (Wayne Schofield), Tom (Eileen), Terri MacAulay (Scott) of Baddeck, NS, Jackie Belyea (Steve) of New River, NB and Lisa (Steve Thomas); his grandchildren, Melissa, Daniel, Dylan, Nick, Matthew, Alexandria, Alison, Natasha, Shannon, Joe and Ryan; his great grandchildren, Danika, Brax, Alistair, Maggie, Lennie, Serena and Lindy; and his sisters, Vera, Nina, Dolly and Allie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
