He was predeceased by: his parents, Hendrika Van Bommel (Hazen) and Johannas "John" Van Bommel; his father-in-law Angus Tait; his brother-in-law Richard Munn; and his nephews, Adrian Van Bommel and Larry Munn.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Tait); his children, Jamie, Tracadie, Mark (Laura) and Chrissy; his grandchildren, Julia, John, Addison and Nicholas; his siblings, John (Grand Mira), Mary Munn (Mike), Joey (Summerside), Henry (Bernadette), Anita Tait (Summerside) and Jerry (Summerside); and his mother-in-law Myrna Tait.
