He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret (Girlie); his wife Minnie; his son Shawn; and his brothers, Johnny, Leo, Roddie, Donnie and Carmen.
He is survived by: his children, David Heffernan (Eileen) and Lisa; his grandchildren, Andrea, Breanna Heffernan, Lauren, Andrew and Brent MacDonald; and his siblings, Kay Artuso (late Silvio), Patsy Wallace (late John), Marian Neary (Joe) and Bernie Heffernan (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
