She was predeceased by: her parents, Petronella van (Donkers) and John van of Wiel; and her siblings, Tony and Rita. She is survived by: her husband Donald "Jack" MacDonald; her sons, Daniel (Andrea) and Trevor (MiYoung); her siblings, Sisca, Mien, John, Peter, Joe, Albert and Henry; and her grandchildren, Angus and Juno.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to the Parkinson Society of Nova Scotia or Diabetes Canada.
