With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Catherine Mary Elizabeth Tulkens of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Scheenen and Gertudis Scheenen; her stepmother Gerarda Smits; her husband Mike; and her siblings, Frits, Toon, Cor, Annie and Mieke.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Delorey (Charlie), Gert Thibeau (Ralph), Herman (Lynn), Ann Marie VanBerkel (Adrian), John (Paula), Mike (Karen), Betsy Delorey (Michael) and Cathy (Kenny Tate); and her siblings, Jan, Tom, Tjeu, Harry, Herman and Coby. She is also survived by her 25 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Fund or Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.
