He was predeceased by: his aunts, Jessie of Detroit, Betty of Detroit and Teresa; his uncle Roy Jackson of Trenton, ON.; his parents, Hugh Duncan and Anne Gillis (MacDonell); his brothers, Billy and Joey; and his aunts, Margaret (Malcolm) and MacDonell.
He is survived by: his siblings, John Hugh (Lorelle), Tom (Tracey), Mary MacDonald (Andy), Black Avon, Katy (Frank), Sarah Gillis (Joe MacLean), Ohio, Margaret MacKenzie (Stephen) and Lois Gillis (Tim Liengme); and his goddaughter Cora MacPherson. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews and 22 grandnieces and grandnephews.
