He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Marie (Macdonald); his children, Kara Marie Deon (Trevor), David Kyle Mattie (Debra) and Kirk Joseph Mattie (Katie); his grandchildren, Kyla Neary Griffiths (Adam), Dana Deon, John Deon, James Deon and Caelen Mattie; and his siblings, Leonard Mattie, Sheila MacDonald, Monica Mattie, Nancy Murley, Fred Mattie, Mary Chisholm, Ann Marie MacDonald, Valerie Sullivan, Susan Cameron and Matthew Mattie. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
