Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bernadette Gillis of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away, on January 20, 2022. She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Gillis; her parents, George McPhee and Rose McPhee (MacDonald); her sons, John (Jack) and Peter; her grandson Marc Vallee; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth McPhee, Doris Cameron (Purvis), Ursulina Stepan (Ed) and Tom McPhee (Sally).
She is survived by: her children, Mary MacDougall, Anne Vallee (Richard), Robert (Dorothy), Joe (Yvette), Malignant Cove, Paul, Greg (Kerry) and Michael; her daughters-in-law, Ida (Jack) and Bonnie (Peter); and her brother Charlie McPhee (Pam) of Huntington Beach, CA.. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren.
All those who wish to pay their respects are required to follow COVID-19 Protocols, including wearing masks at all times, social distancing and providing proof of double vaccination.
