She was predeceased by: her parents, James Burke and Nora Burke (Hodgson); her husband Gerald; her children, Jay and Karen; and her brothers, Reg Henderson, Ron Henderson and Brian Henderson.
She is survived by: her son Michael (Lorna); her grandchildren, Brandon Burke, Braelyn Burke, Karen Weagle, Stephanie MacKenzie-Freeman and Marsha Tazzman; and her siblings, Cynthia Young (Roy) and Jack Henderson (Ottawa). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
