He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Ring and Elsie Ring. He is survived by: his wife Mildred (Taylor); his children, Jason Ring (Georgie) of Purdy Road, Merrill McGrath (Cindy) of Karsdale, Cindy Ring of Fort McMurray, Audra Everett (Eugene) of Port Wade, Angela Hudson (Les) of Port Wade, April Edwards (Wayne) of Karsdale and Theresa Porter (Laurie) of Lequille; and his sister Joan Spencer of Coldbrook. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
