She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cleaves and Phylis Cleaves (Rice); her husband Gary Hannam Sr.; and her brothers, Weldon, Sherman and William.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Jr. Hannam (Laura) and Teresa Jean Hannam (Merwin Clayton); her granddaughters, Sara Hannam (Ryan Drost), Erika Hannam (Jeffrey Wood) and Jessica Cress (Tyler); her great grandchild Boyd Cress; and her siblings, Leota Feener, Joy Hannam (Len), Leslie Cleaves (Joan), Bev Cleaves (Jan), Tony Cleaves and Kevin Cleaves (Sherry). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in Carolyn's memory may be sent to the Arthritis Society of Nova Scotia.
