He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl "Kitch" McGilvray and Georgina McGilvray (Dupuis); his wives, Dianne (Estabrooks) and Gloria (Nelson); his son Peter; his siblings, Gwen Hitchcock, Bob Harrison and Phillip McGilvray; and his brother-in-law Bob Hanley.

He is survived by: his son Paul Dupuis (Jacky); his granddaughter Gloria Dupuis; his stepsons, Shawn McNally and Scott McNally; his grandchildren, Tristan, Teagan and Taurey; and his siblings, Carl McGilvray, Gary Harrison, Kenny Harrison (Patsy), Diane Hanley, Brenda Lee McGilvray and Wanda Sperry (Gary).
