She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Hicks and Gwen Hicks (Harry); and her siblings, Betty, Rod, Phyllis and Gerald.

She is survived by: her husband Alfred "Knobby" "Bud"; her children, Beth Laking, Lisa Richards (Ellwood Bateman), Robert Clark (Marina) and Richard Clark; her grandchildren, Brad, Christopher Carey, Marshall Carey, Rhiannon Clark and Megan Morris; and her siblings, Linda Wagner, Joan Chalmers (David) and Don Hicks (Medora). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Virginia may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Diabetic Association of Canada or the Arthritis Society of Canada.
