With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sylvia Joyce Cowie (Amherst, Nova Scotia), born in Brookfield, Newfoundland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 17, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Spurrell and Emma Spurrell (Andrews); and her brother Gerald. She is survived by: her husband Bruce; her daughter Kimberley Bentley of Paris, ON; her grandchildren, Katelin and Madison; her son Robert (Barbara) of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Susan, Ryan and Christina; and her brother Lester Spurrell (Gloria). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in Sylvia's memory to the Fenwick Cemetery, IODE, Shriners Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
