He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Steele Hunter and Laura Jean Hope. He is survived by: his wife Norma MacFadden; his children, Amy Goodwyer (Lesley) of Baie Verte, NB, Jennifer Dwyer (Colin), Wayne Harroun (Janet) of Edmonton, AB, Roger Jr. (Tara) and Wayne McLellan (Sharman); his siblings, Gary (Tina), Ronnie (Betty), David (Donna), Bruce (Carol), Dona Hunter, Carol MacKenzie and Brenda Alexander (Frank); and his daughter Aleena Dwyer St (Gordon). He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren.
