He was predeceased by: his parent Percy Ripley; his wife Eileen (Northrup); his former wife Joan L. Porter; his children, Peggy Richard and Terry Ripley; his grandson Justin Ripley; his siblings, Walter A. Ripley, Olive Porter and Helen Bacon; and his son-in-law David Richard.

He is survived by: his parent Evelyn A. Ripley (Boomer); his children, Debbie McKillop (Robert) of Boundary Creek, Joanne Menzies (Jack), Kim Ripley and Todd Ripley (Karrie); his grandchildren, Sean, Angela, Daniel, Michelle, Krista, Terran, Kevin, Tammy, Nicole, Cari, Nicholas and Kristen; and his brother Donald Ripley (Mary) of Fenwick. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; two sisters.
