She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Jones and Lillian Jones (Sherwood); and her daughters, Leslie and Carolyn. She is survived by: her former husbands, George Hubert MacNeill and Franklyn Haines; her daughter Heather MacNeill (John Morrison) of Field, B. C.; her grandson Angus MacNeill-Morrison; her sisters, Patricia MacNeill (Ross) of Moncton, N. B., Laurie Steeves (Lev) of Shediac, N. B., Judy McInnis (Les) of Fenwick, Ont and Franklyn; her sons, Tim Haines (Mary) of Truro, N. S., Jason Haines (Elaine) of Halifax, N. S. and Jeffrey Haines (Charmane) of Bridgewater, N. S.; and her stepdaughter Susan Haines.

Memorial contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to the Amherst First Baptist Church or to The Nature Conservancy of Canada.
