He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Brander and Ruth Brander (Currie); and his siblings, Janet Minion (Jack), Florence Currie, Chuck Currie (Carole) and Bob Currie.

He is survived by: his wife Leslie (Baillie); his children, Kimberly Carver, Warren Brander (Greg), Steven Sullivan and Christine Wright (Shaun); his grandchildren, Nicole, Justin and Tianna; his aunt Gwenda "Greenlaw" Harvey; his stepmother Beatrice Brander; and his close friend Alice Brander. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
