She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Hunter and Bessie Hunter (Parker); her husband G. Paul Hurlbert; her brother Gerald Hunter; her son Bryan Mattix; and her grandchildren, Meghan Mattix and Nathan Mattix.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Melanie Cameron (Fred) of Summerside, PE and Ryan Mattix (Aleasha) of Springhill, NS. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, nephews and extended family and friends.
