He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurie Holmes and Georgina Holmes (Atkinson); his brother-in-law Kevin Evans; and his son-in-law Arthur Miller. He is survived by: his wife Rosalie (Gimblett); his daughters, Cheryl Mackey (Chris) of Truro and Elizabeth Dowd (Randy) of Truro; his former wife Marsha (Johnson); his children, Roxanne Jones, Laurie Holmes (Holly), Sackville and Heather Holmes; and his sisters, Sally Evans of Hampton, NB and Wanda Bradshaw (Dana) of Hampton, NB. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
