With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Bernice Des Barres (Amherst, Nova Scotia), born in Bradford, Ontario, who passed away on March 7, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elvie Coates and Luetta Coates (Read); her husband Cecil Des Barres; her siblings, Ralph Coates and Edith Hynes; and her siblings-in-law, Bill Jones, Nancy Coates and Marjorie Des Barres.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Babin (Wayne), Jeff Swinamer (Carol Fielding), David Des Barres (Cheryl), Cathy Zweep (Ken) and Nancy Des Barres (Charles Flippin); her siblings, Grace Jones, Joan Hawkes (Allan) and George Coates; and her sister-in-law Donna Coates. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
As per the wishes of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mildred may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
