It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Alan Hawkes (Amherst, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 9, 2019, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hawkes and Phyllis Hawkes (Lashkow); his sister Linda; and his nephew Mark. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer (Detwiler); his children, Molly Boucher (Francois) of Moncton, Nicole of Tyndal Road and Mitchell of Grande Prairie; his sisters, Sally Embree (Ralph) of Chapman Settlement and Karen Gouchie of Lethbridge; and his grandsons, Logan and James Boucher.

Michael was recognized by the Canadian Blood Services for more than 100 donations.
