It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret A. Higgs of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in Nappan, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 27, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Black and Josephine Black (Purdy); her husband Howard; her siblings, Charles, Lawrence, Donald, Paul, Inez Chapman, Elsie Forshner and Ida Ward; and her daughter-in-law Gloria Jean.

She is survived by: her children, Glenford of Airdrie, AB, Charles (Joan) of Lower Sackville, NS and Joella (Mike) of Pugwash, NS; her grandchildren, Michael (Beverly), Troy and Deborah; and her sisters, Esther Jones of Fredericton, NB and Elizabeth Stewart of Oxford, NS. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
