He was predeceased by: his aunt Leslie Jollota; and his grandmother Marie Damery. He is survived by: his parents, Krista Jollota and Dave Spence (Tracy); his brothers, Declan and Gage; his stepsiblings, Jayla, Jersey, Olivia, Landon, Makayla and Marissa; his grandparents, Betty Strong and Tim Jollota; his great-grandparent Anna Strong; his grandparents, Ricky Spence (Sherry) and Sheila Brine (Pat); his great-grandparent Kenny Hunter (Florine); his girlfriend Abby Brow; his aunts, Ashley (Sean) and Stacey (Tyson); and his extended family George Damery (Rita).

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Chai's memory may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
