Lorraine Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorraine Smith of Amherst, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 22, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carson Stonehouse and Hattie Stonehouse (Schurman); her significant other Owen Orland Smith; her brother Donald (Fern); her sister-in-law Leona (Kenneth); and her sister Rhoda.
She is survived by: her sons, Raymond (Theresa) of Summerside, PEI and Brian (Elizabeth) of Cogmagun, NS.; her grandchildren, Phillip (Melissa), Carly (Jorritt), Noel (Andrea), Erika (Sean) and Brett (Katherine); her great grandchildren, Josslyn, Daken, Parker, Brianna, Aidan, Vera, Walter, Clara, Lillian, Frances and Owen; her sister Theda Nicholson (William) of Oshawa; her stepgranddaughters, Paula (Kevin), Nancy, Kelly (Darren) and Farrah (Scott); and her brothers-in-law, Ralph and David Smith of Truro.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Lorraine's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Andrew's Wesley United Church, Springhill.
