She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Hope and Helen Hope; and her brother Ross. She is survived by: her husband James Burke of Amherst; her children, John of Amherst, Leon (Janey) of Amherst, DJ (Robbie) of Amherst, Brent (Stephanie) of Amherst, Sandi (Jeff) of Amherst and Bruce (Amanda) of Amherst; her grandchildren, Amy, Marley, Scott, Sarah, Christopher, Samantha, Eragon, Arwen, Hayden, Leigh, Riece, Issac, Logan, Jessa, Shane, Jasmin and Joyce; and her siblings, Bruce (Barb) of Ontario, Bill (Helen) of Amherst and Sheila (Chris) of Ontario. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and extended family.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in Linda's memory to After The School Bell Food Program or the Cumberland Hospice.
