She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Marks and Thelma Marks (Snowden); her former husband Frank Leonard Coffell; her siblings, Ron, Art and Margaret Estabrooks; her grandchildren, Alexandra and Frank Gordon; her nephews, John and James Estabrooks; and her great-nephew Daniel Estabrooks.
She is survived by: her sons, Frank Marks (Kimberly), Arnie Marks, Laurie Hicks (Joanne) and David Hicks (Meghan); her grandchildren, Melissa, Sam, Courtney, Lucinda, Amanda, Kori and Addisyn; her great grandchildren, Owen, Aleeah, Lexi, Zander, Zaeden, Morgan, MacKenzie, Brittany, Dante, David and Dakota; her great great grandchild Bella; her brother Robert Marks of Welland, ON; and her sons, Vincent Rector, Derek Hunter, Norris Weatherby, Josh Pettigrew, Charles Hicks and Daniel Hicks. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Laura's memory may be made the Canadian Cancer Assist Fund at the CRHCC and Schizophrenia Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of the donor's choice.
