With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John William Newey of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in River Hebert, Nova Scotia, who passed away on May 13, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Newey and Viola Newey (Wolfe). He is survived by: his wife Lois; his son Bob Newey; his stepchildren, Keith Forbes Fort (Peggy), Tony Forbes and Anna Estabrooks (David); and his close friend Doug Rector. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren as well as several nieces. nephews, extended family.
