Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joan Shirley Treadwell (Amherst, Nova Scotia), who passed away at the age of 86, on February 27, 2021. She was predeceased by: her husband Henry Treadwell Sr.; her daughter Bertha; her siblings, Lorraine Halfkenny, Kenneth Silvea, Ronald Silvea, Donald Silvea, Robert "Hudda" Silvea and Joyce; her great grandchild Harlow Mayhew; her sister-in-law Amelia Martin; and her friend Rebecca Hall.

She is survived by: her children, Maynard Silvea, Linda Treadwell (Bernice), Joyce Stevenson (Ralph), Sheila Upshaw (Ricky Gould), Tony Treadwell (Nicole), Henry Treadwell Jr. and Kathleen Hauwert; her grandchildren, Falon Mayhew (Rob), Ayodeji Upshaw, Nayo Upshaw, Summer-Joy Upshaw, Jonah Treadwell, Tori-Lee Treadwell, Max Treadwell, Felicity Hauwert, Christian Hauwert and Theodore Hauwert; her great grandchildren, Mathias Mayhew, Kingston Mayhew and Baby Henry Tracey; and her siblings, Caroline Snowdon, Gloria Gabriel (Jeannie), Marilyn Silvea-Compton (Cookie), Darlene Giroux, Lillian Paris, John "Jack" Silvea, Ralph "Woody" Silvea and Herbert "Herbie" Silvea. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
