With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Schaschl of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in Pense, Saskatchewan, who passed away on March 19, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Gordon and Florence Gordon (Jackson); her former husband Conrad Spence; her husband Karl Schaschl; and her siblings, Audrey Congdon, Sheila McRae and Vayle Gordon.
She is survived by: her daughter Carole Wilson (Robert Pickering); her grandsons, Frank Wilson (Nicolle) of Amherst and Gary Wilson of Amherst; her great grandchildren, Tyler (Kacee), Michael Fury (Stephanie), Cecila (Nathan) and Kylie McCallum; her great great grandchildren, Travis, Lena, Olivia, Hannah and Donovan; her stepchildren, Kim Schaschl (Charles Atkinson) and Tony Schaschl (Jan); and her stepgrandson Connor. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial contributions in Jean's memory may be made to the Diabetic Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation, LA Animal Shelter or a charity of your choice.
