Jean MacDonald Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2021, at the age of 96, Jean MacDonald (Amherst, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Noel W. Black and Laura C. Black (Davis); her husband William MacDonald; her son Peter Black; and her siblings, Gordon, Eldon, Archie, Florence Bunn, Elsie Smith, Jewel Brander, Betty Macdonald, Sybil and Eleanor.

She is survived by: her son Bruce MacDonald (Laurie) of Halifax, NS; her stepchildren, Mary MacDonald (Gerard Buckley) and Jack MacDonald (Lynda); and her daughters-in-law, Brenda Black and Leona MacDonald. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Due to COVID-19 provincial guidelines, everyone 12 and over will be required to show proof of double vaccination as well as government ID attending the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean's memory can be made to the Salvation Army.
