It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Robert Burke (Amherst, Nova Scotia), born in River Hebert, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 19, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Burke and Joyce Burke (Lorette); his siblings, Wayne and Theresa; and his uncle George Lorette.

He is survived by: his daughter Breale Hokanak of Kugluktuk, NU; his sister Elizabeth Burke of Kitchener, ON; his niece Theresa Elliott; and his significant other Muriel Berube of Winnipeg, MB.
