He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Newhook and Daisy Newhook (Smith); and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ryan (Ryan); his children, Derrick (Michelle) of Lucan, ON, Jamie (Tina) of Amherst, Susan Short (Keith) of Amherst and Blake of Amherst; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Ryan, Noah, Juli, Abigail, Hannah and Benjamin; his siblings, Elwood (Ann), Maisie Martin (John), Audrey Cooper (Merrill), Marilyn Power (Tyrone), Jocelyn Williams (Dean), Connie Higdon (Boyde) and Tina Mercer (Don); and his sister-in-law Annie Newhook. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
