Heather Mary Wilkes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Heather Mary Wilkes of Amherst, Nova Scotia, born in Windsor, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 15, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Elwood and Alma MacPherson; and her son Robert. She is survived by: her husband Harry; her daughters, Meredith McCartney (Andrew), Sussex and Stephanie MacAloney (Jason); her grandchildren, Daniel and Rowan; and her siblings, Graham MacPherson, Sandy MacPherson (Heather) and Donald MacPherson (Mary). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family.
Due to the current COVID-19 border restrictions, Heather's celebration of life will be held at a later date with burial in the Amherst Cemetery.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Heather's memory may be made to the Robert Wilkes Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Amherst Food Assistance Network.
