He was predeceased by: his sister Linda Brine (Ripley); and his wife Heather Ripley (Porter). He is survived by: his sons, Willis (Ginny) of Oromocto, NB and Terry (Jessica) of Fenwick, NS; his granddaughters, Addison Marie, Melody Irene and Harmony Heather; his brother Sidney Ripley (Robynn) of Coe Hill, ON; his siblings-in-law, Tim Brine of Northport, NS, Debbie McKillop (Robert) of Boundary Creek, NB, Joanne Menzies of Rusagonis, NB and Charlene Nelson (Bruce) of Port Howe, NS; his goddaughter Tammy Ripley; his nieces and nephews, Michelle Wilband (Jason), Krista McKillop, Terran Pitre (Tim), Tammy Cameron, Dorothy Mingo (Jim), Kevin Menzies, Denise McComb (Dan), Christine Nelson (Cam), Alysha Ripley, Zachary, Charles Ripley, Jesse (Kim), Jordan Brine, Angela Spicer, Sean Spicer and Daniel Spicer; his close friends, Brian, Brenda Wood, Eric, Sheryl Coates, Tom and Jean Wrixton; and his pet Walt.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Campbell's Funeral Home (98 Church St, Amherst, NS B4H3B4). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations in Gordon's memory may be made to Cumberland Cancer Assistance Fund or Cumberland County Hospice/Palliative Care Society or to a charity of your choice.
