Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gertrude Elizabeth Langille of Amherst, Nova Scotia, who passed away at the age of 90, on October 29, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Logan and Elizabeth Logan (Lowther); her stepmother Geneva Blenkhorn; and her husband James. She is survived by: her children, Anne Blakeney of Truro, David Langille (Kathleen) of Valley, NS, Richard "Dick" Langille of Amherst Shore and Kathy Decker (Tom) of Valley, NS; her granddaughter Heather Blakeney (Jacob Lamontagne) of Edmonton, AB; her children, Michael Blakeney, James Langille (Bella Li) of Kingston, NS, Hayley Langille (Alex Wile) of Greenwood Square, Heidi Decker and Chris Hemphill (Virginia Hatfield) of North River, NS; and her cousin R. David Black (Dave). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Due to COVID-19 provincial guidelines, masks must be worn and everyone 12 and over will be required to show proof of double vaccination as well as government ID.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions can be made in Gertrude's memory to the First Baptist Church, the CNIB or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
