It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Best (Amherst, Nova Scotia), who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Best and Olwyn Best (Williams); his sister Lorraine; his brothers-in-law, Bruce and Ron; and his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Opal Chappell.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Chappell); his children, Mike (Alison), Dan (Angela) and Tracey (Brian); his grandchildren, Meagan (Kyle), Blake (Emily), Lyndsay (Cody), Josh (Lacey), Kristen (Chantelle), Deon, Stephanie, Mathew and Craig; his great grandchildren, Emmett, Elliot, Hunter, Ivy of Riley, J. P. and Madison; and his sister-in-law Gail Chappell.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Campbell's Funeral Home (98 Church St, Amherst, NS B4H3B4). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
