George Calder Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Calder (Amherst, Nova Scotia), born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Calder and Lois Calder Spence (McLeod); his brother Murray; and his siblings-in-law, Rod Bryan, Paul Martin, Barb Smith (Lyle), Cheryl Scott (Bernard) and Sheila LeBlancq.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene (Martin); his sons, Doug Jr. (Tammy) and Mark (Lisa Saulnier); his grandchildren, Reegan, Dawn, Ashley and Gavin; his siblings, Charlene MacCallum (Ken) of Truro, NS, Sandra Siddall (David) of New Glasgow, NS, Doll MacDonald (Jack), Karen Bryan and Bill Calder (Anne Arseneau) of Springhill, NS; and his sisters-in-law, Margo Murphy (Robert), Patti Harrison, Mary Lou Choisnet (John) and Gerine Davis (Donnie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
