He was predeceased by: his parent Leonard Roberts; and his siblings, Paul, Emmerson, Edmund, Billy, Douglas, Gerald, Maryanne and Betty.

He is survived by: his parent Margaret Roberts (Burke); his sons, Terry, Frederick and Patrick of River Hebert; and his sister Marjorie Ferguson of Moncton. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and close cousins.

At his request, his body was donated to the Dalhousie Human Body Donation Program to assist medical students in training.
